Kersten Rovee, PA-C, Palliative Medicine
Kersten Rovee, PA-C is a lifelong resident of Western Pennsylvania. She completed Physician Assistant training at Gannon University, graduating Magna cum laude in 1992. During her early career, she worked at the University of Pittsburgh Cancer Institute in Oncology and Oncology research. She was co-investigator on several Phase I studies during her formative years and was an adjunct instructor within the Physician Assistant programs at several local universities.
Kersten’s career spans experience in Oncology, Internal Medicine, Geriatrics and Palliative Care Medicine. Prior to joining PCMA, she worked providing care for palliative care patients in their homes. Her passion for palliative care began when she started working at The University of Pittsburgh Cancer Institute, now known as The Hillman Cancer Center of UPMC. Her true passion is in helping a patient and their family understand the importance and vast benefits of Palliative Care.
In her spare time, Kersten enjoys spending time with her family and friends, volunteering with various organizations, reading and trying to cook new recipes. She has a college age son who is her pride and joy. Kersten loves animals and is looking to add another furry critter to her home in the near future.
