Carl A Culig, MD, Geriatric Medicine
Born and raised in McKeesport PA, Dr. Culig attended Harvard College and Harvard Medical School for his undergraduate and Medical degrees, returning to Pittsburgh to complete his residency training in Internal Medicine at the Presbyterian-University Hospital. He is Board Certified in Internal Medicine and Geriatrics and is also a Certified Medical Director.
During his 37 years of clinical practice in Southwestern Pennsylvania, he’s had extensive experience in providing care to the elderly, both in primary care and nursing home settings. In addition, he’s served as Medical Director for several facilities, the most recent being the HJ Heinz Community Living Center (part of the VA Pittsburgh Health System). He recently retired from the VA Pittsburgh Health System and is looking forward to working with PCMA to provide high quality compassionate medical care to those residing in Nursing Home facilities of the eastern suburbs.
Dr. Culig is happily married and has 2 grown sons as well as one dog who runs the household. He enjoys ethnic music and plays with the Pittsburgh Mandolin Orchestra as well as the Russian Balalaika Orchestra of Pittsburgh.
