Caitlin Cafaro, CRNP, Geriatrics
Caitlin Cafaro, born and raised in Hanover, PA, first came to Pittsburgh in 2003 to attend University of Pittsburgh School of Nursing (BSN ‘07). She worked as a cardiac nurse at St. Clair Hospital for a total of 8 years and spent a year doing travel nursing in New Mexico and Florida. She then returned to her Alma Mater for her graduate degree, graduating in 2014 from Pitt with her MSN as an Acute Care NP.
Prior to joining Personal Care Medical Associates, she worked as an NP for a large long-term care company in one of their local post-acute/LTC facilities. She quickly assumed a leadership role in her position and became the Senior NP for the Pittsburgh division, leading and mentoring the NP’s in the region and growing the practice to their full potential. She remains a welcoming preceptor for CRNP students as well as adjunct clinical faculty for Carlow University’s FNP program.
Caitlin’s home life includes her husband Jim of 4 years, her 15 month old daughter, Clara, and her fur kids–Shandy, Gizmo, and Mr. Jasper. Her hobbies include family time, learning new things everyday, singing, fitness, cooking, and mentoring our future nurses and nurse leaders of the world.
